Will the transfer situation buy Worthington more time?..

In tonights Evening News Mumby is saying that he still expects us to sign new players but that they probably won't come in untill the end of August just before the window closes.

At around this time we will have played about 5-6 games, will Worthington be given longer than the 10-12 games that i and most fans are reluctantly giving him to prove himself?

Think about it, the board and Worthington will say "we need to give the new signings time to bed in blah blah blah".

This is what i am fearing will happen.

The danger here is that if we give him more time is that the few remaining good managers out there (Tilson, Newell) may be snapped up by other clubs who sack their managers after a poor opening 10 games or so (Brum and WBA for me the favourites).
