from experience, if you do that he tends to always drift onto the left wing to find space. Which - since we have no goalscoring midfielders - means we are totally counting on one isolated striker to get nearly all the goals. We tried him up front that at the start of the Prem season until we realised he wouldn't score enough and we needed 2 strikers in addition. That was about the point at which we then started leaking goals because our midfield went to pot...
