we had a guy come to our school to tell us about the dangers of railway lines
and he showed us a film about a boy who was going to be then next bobby charlton. After a match his brother and his friends said 'let's take the shortcut over the railwayline'. He followed them and dropped a football boot on the track. He tried to pick it up but it was all tangled in the track and it took some time to detangle. He didn't hear the train coming until it was too late.
Now he just has two stumps for legs and gets about in a wheelchair.
Moral of the story - get a bootbag.
