Pre-Season
Curbishly has set a deadline for early July to get most, if not all his targets in place. This is because he want's all his new signings to get a decent pre-season in and hit the ground running in August.
Worthy himself has bemoaned the lack of pre-season some of his new players get which means they are not up to speed for the first six weeks of the season. Signing players a week before the new season like he did with Jonson and Helveg does not work.
Two years ago, he sat on his hands for most of the summer whilst other clubs snapped up targets we were supposed to be tracking. We started the season with a mediocre squad that was only rescued by the now celebrated loan signings. With the new transfer window rules, that will not be an option this year. Get cracking Worthy.
Its all about planning.
