maybe missing the figo butt was a mistake...afterall it soooo unlike the officials to ever make a mistake. Also I agree with pants thinking that they thought 'bloody hell that another one he'll have to send off' and as someone posted after the game they were close to being kicked out of the tournament for indiscipline. Now I know FIFA would never do anything like that except in the biggest cases of gross misconduct
