What was apparent that came out last night, was the blatently obvious use of technology

to send Zidane off

It's been questionable that it has been used the whole tournament as a trial, but Zidane last nigt wasn't seen by any of the 3 on the field, the incident took about 3 minutes to sort out, officials are miked up

I genuinely think that's what the referee last night was doing with Rooney, he was considering the red, but was waiting for someone else to confirmed what he thought he saw

Whilst he was waiting for that, Rooney reacted to Ronaldo and the ref decided there and then he was going anyway

Might not be like that at all but various pundits, fans and commentators have said all tournament that some decisions just look like some other communication has been involved. We'll just have to wait for fifa to say they were trialling it
