Carl denies bang bang you're dead is about pete...

as he does Deadwood, but reading the lyrics to both of them DPT singles, it seems he couldn't have really written it about anybody else, I'm not really a big fan of the others these days, I was never totally convinced they really did try helping Pete, Carl had his own problems with drink and coke, Gary and John never really got on well enough with Peter to help him with stuff like that and were just looking for a way out in the end, and that's why I don't see the Libertines ever reforming...I can see Pete and Carl getting together someday.

My biggest issue with pete is that he does lie quite a bit, in a child like way...this is basically a 27yr old that has never truly grown up and bought into a dream which sent him down the wrong path, but The Libertines wouldn't have been the band they was if it wasn't for his naive mind at times and expressive lyrics...Carl on the other hand is somewhat cynical and depressing in his lyrics, and admits to having creativity issues, lyric wise.
