I've sought 2nd opinions in the past and it's paid to do so

I particularly don't trust vets who are part of the IVC group.
We had a great local vet and about 8 years ago they sold out and became part of them. I knew the owner of them and 2 years in he was devastated. He said the financial targets they were suddenly set by IVC were ridiculous and pricing increases he was instructed to introduce were hugely unreasonable.

As part of the sale he had to stay there X amount of years but he left the moment he could on moral grounds.
