While I agree that the Fat Controller made some awful decisions

I think we should not imagine that anyone else would have kept us up year-after-year.

The top flight was much more fluid in those days, with the likes of Man C, Sunderland, Forest, Blackburn and Palace all bouncing between top two divisions.
