I'm hoping that yesterday is going to be the result that triggers a change

I feel like there has been a bit of complacency, possibly even arrogance, in how we've approached this season so far. A feeling that, regardless of our sloppy performances, we're a really good team and if we keep doing what we're doing it will come together and we'll start climbing the table.

I don't think anyone that saw yesterday's game could still believe that to be true. That performance, off the back of the Boro game where we were cut apart so easily in the first half, and the Brum game where we were fortunate to win, is now our reality.

I can't see any way that we come out of this international break without a different approach. It's blindingly obvious that we have to be more far more compact, much more solid and determined to grind results out.

The personnel aren't fundamentally different to last season. We do have a good squad and I firmly believe this can be resolved, but the starting point is recognising that currently, we have a problem. It's not injuries / bad luck / accumulating fewer points that performances deserve, it's the way we're playing. PC will surely have got that after yesterday's game.
