The other signings were all squad players Alves and Field and one was unexpected to cover the long term injury to Ahmed in Musaba.

It was hardly the recruitment of a team with serious promotion ambitions. So would give Clement some slack there as he can only work with what Knapper and the board are willing to invest in. It's a mid table squad at best.

Think he deserved more backing than what he got in the summer.
