Transfers

I read the comments from Doncaster about the difficulty with transfers etc and whilst I respect his openness it did rather sound like excuses.

Most other clubs have been able to sign players in this league without too much difficulty. I think our problems stem from a lack of urgency. We should have been seeking to strengthen the squad from the minute last season ended. Instead we had to put up with the usual crass comments from Worthington about everything shutting down, players, agents on holiday and nothing happening for at least six weeks. This happens every year and every August we start the season with an understrength squad. It even happened in the season we went up but he managed to get out of jail with the loan signings of Crouch and Huckerby.

Its time to hand transfer dealings over to someone who know's what they are doing.
