They did go long and we didn’t cope with it
Didn’t win many first balls, mainly as our defenders were too busy playing the man (ie grappling with their striker) rather than watching or challenging for the ball and then our midfield won nothing in terms of loose or second balls until Matteson came on.
What really irks is that Millwall played as Millwall always play. Long balls, in your face press, looking to win the second balls and yet we appeared totally unprepared for that, despite most of the same side having won there a few months ago. All very strange and very frustrating. I am convinced we will be fine and do relatively well this season but why go we have to have this useless start again and handicap ourselves.
