That it is an SCR profit, or at least no more so than if we'd paid a fee. Presumably the signing on fee will be his book cost. When selling we would normally have to pay off the remaining years on his contract so pick up the difference then.
On your more substantive point yes I agree I'm happy to have him as one of the three left backs although was silently wincing at all the talk of how available he has been last few seasons and taking no.13.
