In my opinion the one thing you're missing about Ronaldo

is that people already didn't like him for his diving, and his diving again last night (and his subsequent comments) have added fuel to the fire.

And you still don't know for sure that the ref was going to send Rooney off for the stamp alone until Ronaldo got involved and Rooney shoved him. And if you do, then you alone have a pyschic connection to the ref's thought processes.
