Is this Birchall chap a right midfielder?
I know he's played centrally in the world cup but I have some vague recollecton of him playing out wide for Port Vale.
Think he could be a decent signing - especially if we beat the scum to him.
On another note saw Ipswich were linked with Matt Oakley from Saints yesterday - he has been released apparently so is on a free. Decent signing.
