The Stage: Court One

The Players: Taylor Fritz, some bloke, Rybakina, some woman, Stan Wawrinka, Italian heart throb from netflix.

The Crowd:

rich older people + 500 tramps who slept in a park the night before and washed in a toilet. I'll leave your imagination to decide which of these categories I fit in.

The Tennis:

Meh and meh before Stan v Berretini, which was epic, but had to leave before the end as I'm not getting home at 1am for nobody. Especially when I needed to nap to prepare for Mexico game.

Tennis is not spectator friendly. You have to sit around all day waiting for something good to happen (often it doesn't) and most of the time the best stuff happens when it's too late and you need to go home and the stadium is half empty. The same thing happened to me at Queens.

Wimbers:

Beautiful as ever, but £13.95 + a random £1 for each drink is simply theft. And don't get me started on the cost of the stuff in the shop. We're talking £150 for a scarf.

Conclusion: I like going to Wimbers, but as I get older I am increasingly finding I can't be bothered with all the walking and standing about in queues. I question if almost everything (apart from going to Carrow Road) is overrated.
