Yeah, maybe.

I've really come to despise Thorne though - I don't he's as "emblematic" a Worthington signing as Andy Hughes, but he's definitely representative of Worthington's approach to the 2005-6 season - sign workmanlike players with "experience" of the division (because the existing players, having just spent one whole season floundering in the Premiership, didn't have any), particularly big players with no discernable skill.

Thorne, however, didn't even have work-rate - he wasn't just unfit, he was slow, lazy and disinterested. Somewhere just below Mike Sheron and above Paul Dalglish in my list of our worst-ever strikers - and definitely below Keith Scott.
