Thousands of pelanties get given

where the attacker has clearly manufactured/feigned contact to con the ref into giving a pelanty. Usually in such a way that the error is not "clear and obvious" so VAR doesnt intervene. But there is absolutely no doubt that the attacker has basically run at the defender with the specific intent of ensuring that he is "caught", so he can chuck himself on the floor. C.f. Anthony Gordon. "There was contact, and he has every right to go down for me, Clive" says every pundit ever.

This one was so evidently not in that category though. He didnt initiate the contact, he tried to hurdle the defender and was obviously caught.
