Norwich City , a club in the English second division, has agreed to loan Bruno Alves , a 20-year-old defender from Cruzeiro . The deal is valid for one season and includes an option to buy.
The information was obtained by ESPN this Saturday (6). The report was able to find out that the boy was also wanted by two other European clubs: Dynamo Kyiv , from Ukraine, and Vitória de Guimarães , from Portugal.

However, the strength of the English club weighed heavily in the negotiation. Norwich fought until the final rounds of the Championship to compete in the promotion playoffs, but finished the competition in 9th place and will remain in the country's second division.
Bruno Alves played for Cruzeiro's under-20 team throughout the 2025 season and also represented the Brazilian national team at the World Cup for that age group. The defender's contract with the Minas Gerais club runs until the end of 2029.
ESPN has reported in recent days how Cruzeiro aims to strengthen its squad for the second half of the season . The main targets are an experienced left-back, as well as a center-back, a position where Igor Júlio is the favorite, but negotiations with Brighton are still ongoing.
