Super slo mo replays are deceptive though, which is part of the problem with VAR

He obviously goes down a bit easily having drawn the contact - you could say out of the Ipswich manual - but the defender does catch him, the ref does give it and I don't think he VAR should be getting involved there, its just not a clear and obvious error. Its given as a foul anywhere else on the pitch and nobody questions it. VAR refs are re-refereeing games and getting involved when they should not be which obviously also encourages w**kers like Simeone to prance around on the touchline like he did.

I've always had an issue with the replays the VAR official shows on the screen. They are always the most damning angle that they think is going to make the ref change his mind to give the decision that the VAR official thinks he should make. For the Athleti penalty they didn;t even show him the angle that shows the ball clearly deflecting off the defenders knee. In other cases, super slo mo replays make tackles look worse than they are when viewed in real time. its just not great in my view.
