Interesting game, I think (hope) that PC will be learning a lot from these games

For me, specifically, last night and to a certain extent in other recent games I think it has shown that our first choice defensive unit is significantly better than any of the back up options and we perhaps need to close that gap. Although as an individual I think Darling has played well, as a unit that defence is looking a lot less solid since McConville has been out and also we obviously really miss Chriscene.

Its really notable when Stacey plays that he often goes for balls that Darling should be covering thus leaving his man in a lot of space and also last night Cordoba and Darling were going for the same balls at times as well. I suspect part of this is down to a more relaxed end of season vibe but we won't get away with defending like we did in that second half regularly next season. The midfield tired as well which probably didn't help.

I know its stating the obvious but we desperately need a reliable (fitness wise) left back option for next season so we can play Fisher on the right. Stacey is decent back up. And we need to get that Cordoba/McConville centre back partnership back up and running as harsh as that may be on Darling.

Pleased for Gibbs. I like him and think he's worth keeping as a squad player who can play a variety of roles.
