From memory they lost to Millwall - or to someone else - and Millwall popped them to either the last auto promotion spot or the last playoff spot.
It was certainly late 90s.
We were doing the can- can in the away end in celebration of them ballsing it up and singing "Let's all laugh at Ipswich"
