But McKenna is one of the classiest managers I’ve ever heard speak. The way he talks about a game whether Ipswich win, lose or draw is a delight to hear. No wonder he’s so highly regarded. I’d be more worried about Clement’s comments post match yesterday. They lacked a lot of dignity and class. Also before the match I’m not really sure about the narrative that Ipswich couldn’t afford to not win. Norwich had to win to keep the 1% chance of play offs alive.

As for not being here next year. McKennna has had countless opportunities to move on. He will do one day of course. But for now he’s one to cherish.

And as for being cheats in general, people have to remember the likes of Holt, Fleck and that little greasy Spanish guy with the strange facial hair more recently. The Derby has had plenty of villains (cheats if you like) over the years.

Ipswich executed a game play very well yesterday. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up.
