Watched the game back

Because I wanted to see if it was the emotion clouding my judgement yesterday.

That was a terrible refereeing performance.

The penalty - he doesn’t give it, in fact he has zero intention of giving it. If the linesman gave it then he didn’t signal as he should’ve done according to the laws. The length of time they allowed it to go and seeing the pattern that developed leaves question marks. And it wasn’t a penalty.

- the ref was free-flowing with cards all game except on the three occasions it mattered. Why? All three had precedents in the game that told him he had to give a card.

- Nunez foul on chrisene was a second yellow and he’d given two yellows for similar tackles earlier in the game

- leif davis fell on the ball and handled it. He’d just given cordoba a yellow for the same thing. If you make the judgement cordoba was more obvious (you could) then ok, but then he kicked the ball away and he’d already given a yellow for that in the game so it’s either two yellow card offences in one or perhaps just the one. Either way, he’s off.

- Nunez fouls on cordoba is the clearest of yellows, it’s late, it’s dangerous and he catches him nastily. It’s a clear and obvious yellow and again he’d given yellows for it during the game.

There is just no explanation that’s feasible for failing to give two reds cards. If he hadn’t given them for similar offences earlier I could understand it but he has nowhere to go.

We may not have won but all those decisions would’ve changed the game
