All the laughy/jokey jubbly stuff went out the window and leaves McKenna knowing he has a player who can be manipulated so easily by the most basic intimidation.
Hirst's goal was a statistical certainty having hit a plethora of great chances in every other direction but wide of Vlad and the penalty was something they won't get next season with VAR.
They are in for a more harrowing and chastening season than last unless they spend huge sums of money.
