By that rationale
no football manager will ever make a difference, and we've seen that not to be true.
Some managers inspire, other don't. Some managers make correct substitutions and play the right tactics. Others don't.
If the criteria for successful football was SOLELY down to the quality of the players, Watford wouldn't be in thre Prem next season.
