“Although I’m sure I won’t be alone, I’ll probably be in a minority of Norwich supporters wishing Ipswich well with this re-birth…. and boy, did they need it.
We’ve missed the old farm derby, and it’s been sad (even if with a certain schadenfreude) to witness these last few painful years for the Tractor boys. Ironically reaching its nadir with Agent Lambert, imploding in parallel with the club.
The new set-up looks like it’s really reconnecting with the supporters, ironic given who now owns the club, and in embracing the clubs rich history seems to be doing so in full recognition of where it actually sits now, rather than hiding behind it and using it to claim some entitlement it hasn’t deserved in footballing terms for some time.
Hopefully in a few years we’ll be playing Ipswich in the Premier League.”
