The decision to postpone some local elections was due to local government reorganisation

in Norfolk, Suffolk and some other parts of the country.

The subsequent decision, based on legal advice, means that elections will now take place in May... for councillors and new administrations which will be in place for the grand total of one year before elections to the new unitary councils replacing them are held. And all at taxpayers expense.

Don't get me wrong - it's all been a bit messy and the government failed to get a proper grip on the optics, but "Fa(s)cism….a dictatorial leadership and suppression of opposition…"???

Don't be silly.
