This is good news.

I hope that he takes the time he needs and doesn't rush back into work. Taking on a high profile managerial job when you're not fully able to is hard, when you have angry fans on your case too. Us football fans do look at managers in a very black-and-white way - good at their job or not good at their job - and the human aspect is often forgotten about when it comes to criticising a manager. People respond to grief differently. Manning seems like he's repressed it for too long and now he's at the point where he can't any longer. I hope this is a positive step for him.
