But this squad has surprised me time and time again under PC. Although it feels like that can’t go on forever, it’s gone on for a lot longer than I thought it would.

This run of 4 league games in quick succession before the international break was always going to stretch us given the number of injuries we already had. It’s made even harder by the fact that when we come to play Charlton at the weekend, they’ll have had a full week rest.

Hopefully we’ll have a number of players back after the break (ruairi, chrisene, Toure and schwartau for a start) and we can go again.

Playoffs almost certainly out of reach, but that’s been true for the whole of PC’s time here
