But all those influencers are in fact state funded by Dubai. They run an "influencer academy" that recruits people with social media profiles, requires them to sign up to codes of conduct, and then pays for them to set up and "work" tax free in Dubai. They are contractually obligated to stick out content that comments on what a s**t hole wherever they used to live is, that the laws/tax regime of that place are terrible and are killing the country, that they've left wherever to go to Dubai to chance their arm because it really encourages entrepreneurs. All of which is not true - they're not entrepreneurs, they're funded by the Dubai state. They are also required to say over and over what an amazing cornucopia of free market liberalism and opportunity Dubai is.

Every video they put out is basically state funded propaganda, which the press around the world picks up and parrots back at as as evidence of a "brain drain", the brightest and best fleeing dead western states to live the dream in the ME.

All of this errant nonsense will stop when the oil money runs out. At the moment they have money to flush into all sorts of ridiculous things.
