FWIW yesterday

I thought it was good game for us to get an idea of where we are. On reflection I’d say that Leeds are a team two or three seasons ahead of us: good manager, in place for a while, financial backing and solid support. The kind of stability we haven’t had since lockdown. We could be there in a couple of years if things don’t go to s**t. We have the basics in place though, if we can build on them.

I didn’t see what Grimshaw’s injury was, but I guess that’s why managers play reserve keepers in the cup. Chrisene struggled against James’ pace and Fish to a lesser extent against Gnonto. Field was quietly ineffective, which was a shame. Kvist didn’t do much, he looks a bit lost at the moment. It would have been a test even without the injuries, but it’s a shame not to be able to see what Makama or Toure could have done. Anyway, last 16 of the cup, not too bad.
