But compeition for places increases the performances of players - or it should do. If he isn't getting into our starting line up, because the other two are doing better, then fine, sell him if he wants to go. But if Leon starts playing out of his skin, he'll be in the first team, and then he'll stay. All of this assumes that Howard (if he signs) doesn't become a Worthy 'favourite' and becomes undroppable however bad he plays.
We need a squad. Competition for places is healthy.
