Well, 3 of the final 4 had unexpected seasons, and the Seahawks were probably
favourites among them, especially for the Super Bowl itself.
In fact this season was one of the most surprising I've seen with unexpected improvements from Seahawks, Patriots, Broncos, Bears, Jags and others to a lesser extent. Was a really rare league wide power shift in the space of only a few months.
Congratulations to Aden Durde though, the English defensive coordinator for the Seahawks! And I mean proper English - not one of those who moved to the US aged 3. Not only born and raised in London, but moved to the NFL as a coach in his 30s after an opportunistic interview with Dallas while on tour in Texas with the London Warriors amateur team he was coaching.
