He can go, but forcing a move like this isn't on. No one obliged him to sign that lucrative multi-year contract did they. He can honour it or rot in the yoof team.

However, we obviously will sell him, but not for a knock-down price. We aren't going to just let him run down his contract in the U21s for 2 more years and nor will he.
