however, look beyond your rose tinted vision of the world. I am far from the racist, the fascist, the foolish of which I am accused.

Indeed, my ostensible complaint with the Portuguese residents of Thetford does, in fact, merely scratch the surface. My despair is that such people are driven away from their homes, from their property and towards crime. They are denied direct access to the means of production and have become subservient to the reuqirements of the rich, of the elites.

With money being the means of exchange they are driven to revolt and misguided displays of patriotism and faux belonging. The reality Peter is that capitalism has caused this. Capitalism has isolated people to the extent where negative social relations have become the only form of escapism and enjoyment.

The cure, who knows? But one thing is for certain; I will endeavour to find it.
