Squad,Transfers,Big Phil,long message!
Hope all had a good xmas ,I have been off line but still managed to see some games.
I like what I am seeing from Big Phil,some systems,some different options,players being played in their correct positions and some fight.
Last night was always going to happen we are not cut adrift.other teams are closer than they were a month ago and this will continue to happen.Must not follow up this defeat with another at QPR,thats key.
Since the start of the season the squad has lacked a magician,a Wes, a Maddison, a Pritchard, a Hucks , a Peters...somoene who can do something clever and unlock a tough low blocking side.I dont agree with all the number positions..he could be a 10 a 12 a 69 for all I care!
There is also a real lack of pace upfront,no one to scare a full back or centre half.
So for me priority 1 Jan..some pace up front..dont care if its a forward or a winger..winger preferably. BUT more important is a magician, someone we all want to watch someone who can unlock things,see a pass, someone with the flicks ,farts and fancies that create things!
So my let go list is as follows:
Medic..Loan
Duffy..just go!
Adegboyega..1 year contract ext to illustrate to all that there is a route from youth to first team with a loan path and experience
Gibbs..Loan although there is a case for him to stay as cover for Mc lean/Mattson,but only that not being played out of position.
Juarsek needs to go and play somewhere week in and week out and then we may,may have a player
Springett..transfer I know this will upset some and I cannot fault his effort and commitment but we need more than that.
Three in...with some real quality and this squad stays up.
