the importance of results is wildly overrated by most people
not to say you don't need good results, but in assessing what is happening and what are the prospects.
Last night (v the team top of the form table) ought fairly to have been a draw - but either team might have snatched in one way or the other, which is what happened; had we won, our immediate position would have been improved, but the overall prospects, at this stage of the season, are basically unchanged.
