Watching the Fulham game last night
and hearing them play London Calling, with their fans singing (the only tenuous link between the song and their club) 'live by the river', I mused if they are aware that no one from The Clash Supported Fulham. Joe Strummer was actually a Chelsea fan (or Arsenal, if you ask gooners).
Do you think if Ed ginger bollocks wrote a song about 'yellow tweeting birds', that we would adopt that in place of 'the oldest and greatest football song in the world 3,2,1...'? All very tin pot Fulham's.
