Still Spain contrived to search for the winner but then there was then a misjudgement by Puyol at the decisive moment. Attempting to close down on a high ball under challenge from Henry, the two collided and both went down with Henry slightly behind his marker. It could have been argued the foul should have been awarded against Henry, yet he clutched his face when having been mildly struck in the chest and Puyol was astonished to see a yellow card raised.
