Why is it simplistic?

Its how it works. I'm not saying they are immediately in the squad but if you keep making "inquiries" and don't make offers you will never get anywhere.

I just have this image of Worthy being sat by the phone waiting fro someone to call him back!

Did West Brom make an "inquiry" for Hartson - no they put in an offer, Celtic accepted and Hartson is on his way despite the fact he didn't really want to leave the club!
