And while that must, must be true, it does seem that a good number of 606 contributors have at least a neutral-to-positive opinion of him. Every now and again one of them will start off with "Before we start, Greeny, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy the show ..." or similar.

Like you, everyone I know doesn't like him, but then that's a biased sample, since I don't hang around with knobheads. Perhaps among the millions of knobheads I don't hang around with, there's people who do like his particular band of opinionated moaning.

My particular bugbear is when he has a call that goes something like this:

Caller: "Now then, Alan, I'm calling to talk about today's match"
Green: "OK ..."
Caller: "I wondered what you thought about Drogba's dive for the penalt-"
Green: "Let me just cut in there, Dave, and lets do thing right and call it 'cheating'. He cheated for the penalty. Cheating."
Caller: "....."

He's not wrong, god knows he isn't, but does he have to be so damn righteous about it? "It's CHEATING." FUCK OFF GREEN.

And stop refering to England as "we". You're Irish.
