Though to my mind the Ozzies are the more hard done by, because as you say the red card was from a bad tackle, whereas the penalty was a dive. In other words, the Ozzies didn't DO anything to PRODUCE the questionable decision which went in their favour, whereas the Italians conned the ref.

But hey, losing to the Italians to a last minute penalty resulting from a dive is all part of getting used to World Cup football!
