So who got the slaps around the head?
I think maybe the fullbacks who defended the wide players with less distance this time.
Jurasek - obvs. Let's hope that continues and he doesn't need repeat slaps because then he becomes an energy drainer and you may as well get rid despite the obvious talent (which is clearly what happened at his previous clubs).
Marcondes - cut out all the stupid blind back heel s**t and hurried s**t passing and was 1000% more effective because of it. Also his dives were a bit more calculated and mostly resulted in free kicks, and he didn't stay down shot as long as usual when he didn't get one either.
Sarge, who continued making runs because last few games it was like he gave up at times and was surprised at through balls because he didn't expect them to come. Thing with Sarge is that even if he's not getting the ball, his movement drags defenders around opening up chances for others.
Duffy - well simply cos he needs a bit of a slap I think.
But I think it wasn't all head slapping - I think he's used positive reinforcement on Mattsson, McConville and Schwartau who all played the same way as normal but with far more confidence and less hesitation.
