Out of interest, did you feel like this at the start of the

season? If not then i presume you’re one of the fans who think the squad is poor? For some reason many fans feel this way and have bought into this narrative. I don’t agree. I think looking beyond the worst manager i can ever remember at Carrow Road is a strange assessment. It’s a bandwagon Manning himself jumped on in a vain attempt to distance himself from his incompetence. Even the media bought into this. Goreham asked Manning if he had perhaps not carried out enough due diligence before taking the job. Manning of course wasn’t going to miss out on this opportunity to deflect from his piss poor ability and said something along the lines that he possibly should have. But like nearly all fans at the season start Manning had no complaints about the squad and what we witnessed was a manager out thought at every turn and incapable of making any tactical changes when they were obviously needed. He was kept far too long (the game against Wrexham showed just how poor he was and should’ve been the final nail). I’m not saying we’ll stay up because the incompetence of the manager was matched by the owner and we’ve let easy points be lost but any manager with a bit about him can get this squad playing. I’ve never experienced a similar situation at NCFC where the managers incompetence has been blamed on so many other factors.
