Hmmmm, doesn't really sound like genius tactics!

Pinkun piece on him is pretty good. I'd forgotten that he'd walked from Blackburn because of resources. Wouldn't be against going for him ahead of "Gaz". Certainly got the big name respect that some believe players react to as well.
