Whoever takes over has to be able to command the dressing room.
Player power’s clearly been an issue under JHT and also probably Manning. Knapper’s shown little appetite for confronting unrest, so the new coach will need to handle it solo.
The squad needs a serious shake-up both in terms of personnel and how they are playing. A foreign coach could be exciting (Farke 2.0) but right now I think experience in English football is the safer route. Someone who won’t be easy for the players to undermine.
