I do agree this squad can stay up
It just needs someone who looks at the make up of the squad and adapts the system to extract the best out what’s available.
For me the diamond is screaming out. We currently lack quality wide runners, but have a plethora of central players. We scored goals for fun without wingers when Holt, Martin and Hoolahan were together. It’s time to try it again.
As such we roll with that. Until such time as Diallo and January transfers can provide us with quality runners.
Sarge, Makama with Kvistgaarden behind would be a good start. Utilise Kenny, Mattson and Wright / Forson in the remainder of the diamond. The back 4 could be made up of any of the defenders but for goodness sake, play players in their natural positions.
It’s not a balanced squad by any means but it’s only unfit for purpose because of the strategies our manager employs.
