Liam Manning has provided some squad updates ahead of Hull City's visit to Carrow Road in the Sky Bet Championship tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Ben Chrisene has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation but Manning says that it's not something that is going to be a long-term concern.

In positive news, Amankwah Forson is expected to return to the matchday squad tomorrow while Mathias Kvistgaarden has come through another full week having made his return against Swansea.

Elliot Myles is also expected to rejoin full training from next week while Jack Stacey suffered a reoccurrence of his head injury in training this week.

"Ben's still going to be a couple of weeks, a minor setback which is disappointing. It was just in the stages of return, as you start to increase load, he felt it slightly," Manning explained.

"Lucien (Mahovo) is progressing, he's moving in the right direction.

"Forson's trained this week, it's good to have him around, Mathias has been built up and is a week further along.

"The amount of time Forson has been out and the injury he had, it's been great to have him out, his appetite for training, his love for the game and enthusiasm.

"The positions he takes up, how he takes the ball. He's so quick in short distances, his change of direction. He started the first league game and was someone I was really looking forward to working with and still am."

This week, the club's majority shareholder Mark Attanasio was present around the training ground and Manning says it was good to be able to chat with him.

Attanasio also offered his support to Manning during an interview with BBC Radio Norfolk on Wednesday evening.

"I spent some time with him, we did as a staff but I had a meeting with him as well. It was a good, honest chat. It's quite clear how invested he is in the club, he's in this for the short, medium and long term.

"The only time I talk or think about it is when you guys ask me, I'm frustrated about where we're at. I didn't join for that. To have Mark do that is reassuring, I take it as a real positive but I'm quite clear that we have to win games."

Eighth-placed Hull City will be the visitors to Norfolk for Saturday's lunchtime kick-off.

The Tigers are unbeaten in five with three games on the road in that current one, resulting in one win and two draws.

"Certain things in the Championship defy everything else in football when you look at trends and habits. When you look at where they were at a year ago compared to now, they'll be a tough side to play against," Manning said.

"They're on a good run of form. All of our energy has to go into making it the hardest game possible for Hull.

"It's a new game, a new opportunity. The teams with more possession across the league, bar maybe Coventry, are finding it more difficult. We know they're dangerous on the counter so it comes down to how strong we are mentally, not giving them anything and dictating the game."
